Young adults participated in AASRA conducted by SPRINT’ 18 in association with the DoCC Committee of S.P.Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR).
This year was the 20th year for the Terryfox run and Om Creations was happy to be part of it.
Om Creations participated in exhibitions and melas conducted at corporate offices and other public spaces. This gives us an opportunity to exhibit our products to a wide audience of people which also aids in spreading awareness about the cause.
Om Creations participated in 16 such exhibitions through the year.
Om Pickles is a new initiative which was launched in April / May 2017. An assorted variety of pickles are now made and sold at our centres. The students were trained in this activity over a 2 month period.
Several new food items were introduced during the year and students received training in the areas of preparation of sauces, dips and sherbets.
Om Creations Trust introduced Trisomy 21 around World Disability Day to showcase and highlight the issues faced by individuals with down syndrome. The 21 days event saw participation from the beneficiaries, staff, friends and partners for various activities. Workshops, trainings, exhibitions and a carnival were some of the events conducted during that period.
Sessions were conducted for participants on Marma therapy, cosmos healing and touch therapy. Cookie baking workshops for children and our beneficiaries and a live kitchen demonstration by Ms. Asha Khatau with our students were some of the highlights of the festival.
